Post subject: If you want to raid with us, read this... Posted: Thu May 13, 2010 7:02 pm |

I'm tired of being stuck on the same bosses every week. I'm tired of barely getting 4, four, hours of raiding time every week.
Too many people want to raid but don't want to commit. Too many people want to raid but just plain suck. You know who you are. If you don't or are not sure but want to know, ask me and I will tell you if you suck.
I really hate having to make this post because this is stupid. I'm only outlining what should already be obvious, but obviously isn't very obvious. Certain people are holding the rest of us down and it's just really frustrating.
Here are a few simple rules that if everybody follows correclty, will make all our raiding experiences an enjoyable one:
1. Be punctual and ready. If you sign up for a raid that says 8:30, 8:30 is not when you should be logging on. 8:30 is when the first trash pull should begin. That means you should be ready with all your consumables inside the instance at 8:30. Summons will not be going out. If you are not in the raid group at 8:45, your spot is no longer reserved. Which means that we will start looking for a replacement for you. I don't play this game to wait for others all day.
2. Know your class. When you receive a raid invite it is done so under the assumption that you know the ins and the outs of your class or spec. That you understand the best dps, healing, or tanking rotation to perform at peak efficiency. That you understand all your abilities and how to apply them as the situation arises. Knowing your class or spec also means knowing what is an upgrade and what isn't.
3. Know the mechanics of all fights. Taking a few minutes of your time to read up or watch a video on a fight means we spend less time explaining things. The lesser time spent explaining, the more time we get to actually make attempts. Again, your raid invite will be given out under the impression that you know the fights. Just knowing isn't enough though. You have to be able to actually apply your understanding of the fight to the fight. Which means you don't stand in the melee group continuing to dps the boss if you get an X.
Three simple rules. A violation of any of the above can result in removal from the raid and future raid invites not coming your way. And if you're not raiding with us, why do we need you in the guild?
I'm sorry for getting all serious in a game, but as a wise person once said, "It's your $14.99, you can do whatever you want. But the rest of the raids $359.76 thinks you're doing it wrong." If you want to suck go suck somewhere else.
